William Eugene Winkler

Our very special loved one, William Eugene Winkler, 54, of Huntington, WV was suddenly taken from us on Monday October 7, 2008. He was a son of the late Floyd and Frances Winkler and the husband of Holly Ann (Clagg) Winkler. In addition to his wife he is survived by three children; Michelle Winkler of Lexington, KY, Michael Corns of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Greg Winkler of Huntington, WV, four step-children; Jason Clagg and Lindsey Davenport of Huntington, WV, Travis Clagg of Phoenix City, AL, and Tim Clagg of New Martinsville, WV, three brothers; Paul Winkler, Joseph Winkler, and Floyd Winkler all of Huntington, WV, three sisters; Gracie Corns of Huntington, WV, Geraldine Williams of West Palm Beach, FL, and Elizabeth Ellis of Teays Valley, WV, twelve grand-children, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He grew up and lived in Huntington, WV all of his life where he began his own business, W & J Plastering along with his brother, Joe. A humble, compassionate man, he was known to those in the community as someone who would always offer to help anyone in need. As a lover of nature, he grew gardens and enjoyed cooking for his many friends and family. He will surely be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. We will never forget his generous, kind, and free-spirited soul. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 10, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Minister James Wells officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
