William H. Sheers

WILLIAM H. SHEERS, 75, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away Wednesday February 4, 2004, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center, Ports-mouth. Fun-eral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, W.Va., by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born February 13, 1928, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Phillip and Mittie Lewis Sheers. He was a retired employee of Krogers of Solon, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Betty Jane Mitchell. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Clifford and Doris L. Sheers of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jerry D. Sheers of Berea, Ohio; five daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Ann Sheers, Lisa L. Sheers, Debra and Patrick Turner and Rita and Phil Clark all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Pamela and Greg Ferrell of Goldsboro, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. Howard P. Hall VFW Post 1064 of Huntington will conduct military graveside rites.
